Dickin's Christmas Village

Dickin's Christmas Village

Hi guys! So today I am going to talk about our Dickin's Christmas Village. This village is from Hallmark department 56. These pieces are from the book The Christmas Carol.

So I will start out with the pieces my Grandparents gave us this year. So first I will talk about Potts Pub. So when we got this home we realized that it has a very small fragile sign with a pot dangling from it. A couple of our other pieces are like that to and we don't put them on because of the cat. This year we decided to put this sign on. So far it hasn't been knocked of but we just put it up yesterday. So the next few pieces all kind of go together. First is the Devon Brooks Span Cottage. Next is Brandon Mill and last is the London Gin Distillery. The these are all connected by e set of rivers. There is a bridge it goes under and the next two pieces have mills. The mills actually turn when you plug them in. Then she got us a tree, Scrooges Merry Christmas, which is Scrooge being nice to people, and a hoarse drawn sleigh ride. Lastly she got us three different sized foam blocks to put under the snow so the land isn't just flat. Thank you guys very much!

Ok so we also have some other pieces. First we have Scrooges house with the ghosts dancing around him inside. Then we have Bob Cratchit's house with some people in the window. Next we have a really pretty church. There is a lot of stone detailing on the walls of the church. Next we have Scrooge and Marley's Counting House. Those are all the houses we have.

Now I will talk about the accessories. So first we have a hoarse drawn carriage delivering barrels of beer to the pub. We also have all three of the spirits and Scrooge together. We have around six different tree's too. Then we have tiny Tim on Bob's shoulders. Lastly we have a guy roasting chestnuts which is really cute.

So that is out Dickin's Christmas Village!

Top Ten Christmas Songs

Top Ten Christmas Songs

Hi guys! So today I am going to talk about my top ten favorite Christmas Songs. So all of these songs are from the Glee Christmas Albums because I like them better then the original ones.

So number one is called Christmas Wrapping. I think that this one is just really fun and cute. I like the music mostly but I also like the lyrics. Second is Little Drummer Boy. I really like this one. The lyrics are ok but I enjoy the music. I remember watching the movie and hearing this song. I don't think it really liked it that much. Third is called River. The lyrics to this one are kind of sad but still good, so I like the music better.

So next we have Do You Hear What I Hear. I really like this one. I love both the music and lyrics. Five is Last Christmas. I also love the music and lyrics to this one. This I remember loving before I watched Glee. My mom and dad used to watch it and my mom had the album. That was the first time I had ever heard that song and I loved it. Number six is You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch. This one is just really fun. Seven is All I Want For Christmas Is You. I like the Mariah Carey one of this but the glee one is good to.

Next is God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman. I'm not a huge fan of the regular version but I really like the Glee one. Number 8 is Rocking Around The Christmas Tree. I really like both the music and lyrics to this. I remember hearing this one at a Christmas party with a lot of relatives when I was little and it was super fun. Number 9 is Winter Wonderland. This one is a classic favorite. I can play most of this piece on the guitar so it's really fun to play and sing along to. Number ten is Santa Baby. This one is another classic and I love the music.

So those are my top ten Christmas music picks.

Teen Titans Swinging Christmas Carol

Teen Titans Swinging Christmas Carol

Hi guys! So today I am going to be writing about a Christmas comic called the Teen Titans Swinging Christmas Carol. A holiday classic (according to my dad).

So it starts out with the Teen Titans making fun of Robin for reading the Christmas Carol. Is then it shows Ebenezer Scrounge with his assistant Bob Ratchet. Bob doesn't get paid enough to buy an electric wheal chair for his son Tiny Tom. So Bob had to work on Christmas. Scrounges partner Jacob Farley had gone to jail for selling fake car parts. He escaped and came to kill Scrounge. The Teen Titans stopped him and put him in jail.

Then three of the Teen Titans dressed up as the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future. They each visit Scrounge. When the ghost of Christmas future came (wonder girl) she got shot down by some guys that Scrounge was doing illegal business with. They broke Tiny Toms old wooden wheelchair. Then Scrounge turned got and the Teen Titans caught the bad men.in the end Scrounge used a machine that the men had and turned the broken wooden wheelchair into a gold plated top of the line electric one. He also gave Bob a heated office and a raise.

So as you can tell this is a lot like the original Christmas Carol. I would rate it an eight out of ten. The names are modified a little bit too. So I do like the original Christmas Carol better but this story was good. My dad used to read us superhero Christmas comics when we were little and this was one of them.

I liked the part where he was visited by the ghosts. I also really liked when tiny Tom got his wheelchair. So overall it was pretty good.
