Life Update

Life Update

Hi guys! Today I am going to write a life update. Basically how my life has been going for the past 6 months.

So in the past six months my life has been up and down. I'm taking French this year because I'm in honors so I can take a foreign language for a high school credit. Last nine weeks was pretty bad but I'm getting better this time around. Honestly I'm glad it's the last quarter because I really want summer to come and not have school.

Next is friends. I've got some pretty good friends. I've made a lot of new friends this year mostly because I didn't have any classes with them last year and the year before. We went on a field trip to D.C. and we had a great time there. We're going to go to Hershey's Park pretty soon and then we have a swimming trip.

Lastly I'm going to talk about people in general. My school has a lot of fights. There have been a few times when kids have gotten arrested. There is a lot of girl drama too. It seems like nobody is ever happy with any one else. Most of the fights that happen here are between girls.

So overall life is ok. I stick around my friends at school and they're fun to be with.

Cinderella

Cinderella

Hi guys! Today I am going to be talking about a movie I saw in theaters yesterday called Cinderella. SPOILER ALERT!

So in the beginning Ella had a perfect life. Her family was very happy and loved each other and nature. They were very kind people. Her dad was a merchant and he went on business trips selling things. One day all of that changed and Ella's mom died. She made a promise to her mother to have courage and be kind. Years later her father re-marries a woman who has two daughters. They were very mean to Ella. One day her father had to go on another trip and he asked all of his girls what they wanted him to bring back for them. The step-daughters said things like lace and expensive goods. Ella said she wanted the first branch that brushed his shoulder. On the business trip her father got very sick and he died. The branch was delivered to Ella and the step sisters got nothing.

While Ella cried over her loss, her step mother, to save money fired all of the assistants. She put Ella to work doing every possible chore she could do staying up until midnight. She said that it distracted her from the loss of her father. They let her eat table scraps for dinner which is the only meal she got. They made her sleep in the attic and since it was to cold she had to sleep in front of the embers. In the morning her face was covered in ashes so when she served breakfast, for everyone but herself, they called her Cinderella. She got so sad that she took a horse out riding in the woods. The prince was out in the woods hunting and they came across each other. He didn't tell her he was the prince he just told her his name. It was love at first sight.

The prince was supposed to get married. He wanted to marry Cinderella but she isn't a princess. He demanded that a ball would be held and everyone in town was invited. Cinderella's stepmother said that she couldn't go. Once they left for the ball Cinderella cried out in the garden she just wanted to see Kit (the prince). Her fairy god mother came and gave her a gorgeous dress and a carriage. She told her that the magic would wear of by midnight. She went to the ball and the prince said he wanted to marry her, a poor girl. After his father, the king, died he had a search party sent out for the girl. When they got to the stepmothers house the shoe fit nobody. They heard singing coming from where Cinderella was locked up in the attic. The prince demanded to see her and the shoe fit. They later got married and were the kindest rulers the kingdom ever had.

So I really loved this movie. It was done very well. The dress she wore to the ball in real life was extremely heavy but they made it look really light. Overall I loved it.

Summer

Summer

Hi guys today I am going to write about what I'm looking forward to in the summer. Personally I love the summer and I hate the winter for many different reasons.

So first I will tell you why I prefer summer to winter. First of all we don't have school in the summer. Maybe we have to write an essay or something but we have two and a half months to do it. We also get to hang out with our friends a lot more in the summer. In winter we only get lunch time and occasionally on weekends. I also hate the cold. I love summer because it's warm. I also love swimming which I can't do in the winter. We rarely go to an indoor pool. Lastly I love going to Ocean City New Jersey it is so much fun and I love the beach.

Now I will talk about little things I like about summer. I like that we can go on a walk outside and not freeze to death. One of my favorite things about summer is getting to play volleyball outside with my friends. I love volleyball and it's hard to find time and space to play in the winter. I also like the grass. I'm not sure why because I hate mowing it. I guess I just like being able to walk around in bare feet. There is also a creek nearby that my friend and I really love going to.

Last I will talk about bad things in summer. The number of good things highly outweighs the bad things. The thing I hate most about the summer is sun burns. They just really hurt and they're annoying. Another thing I hate is the Mosquitos. I hate when you get a bite and then it itches for days. The last thing I hate about summer is having to mow the lawn. I hate mowing it's really hot and then you get sweaty and just gross.

So that is my opinion on summer. I love summer and I want it to hurry up and get here. I will deal with the bad things in summer because there is so much more good things about it to me. What is your favorite season?

Future

Future

Hi guys lately I have been finding myself thinking about my future a lot. Not so much what I want to be but more what I want to do.

If I were to travel to two places in the world I would probably go to Paris and The Caribbean. I am currently taking a high school credit class in French. I really want to see the Eiffel Tower. I love being at the beach. I really want to live on a beach someplace warm year around. Somewhere like Florida or California. I would like to take a trip to The Caribbean though.

Next is my career. So my "dream job" would be a cosmetologist for movies and TV shows. My more realistic job would probably be a lawyer. Now I'm still thinking about what I want to be but I know that lawyers make a good amount of money and I think that I could do it. I'm also a little interested in photography.

I'm not quite sure where I am going to college. I'm thinking about going to West Virginia University. Another option for me would be for me to go to Shepard University. Those are both in state collages which is most likely what I will do. I was also interested in one called West Liberty. I'm definitely going to college but I will have to look more into where in high school.

So that is what I an thinking about right now but a lot can change before then.

Field Trip

Hi guys! So today I am going to tell you about my field trip to the Washington DC museums. My group went to three different museums but mostly just had fun. My mom was the chaperone and we had six kids (including me) in it. You get to pick your own group so everyone in it were friends of mine. We had my mom, me, Sarah, Julie, Nolan, Katelyn, and Kathleen.

So the bus ride there took about 2 hours. It was really fun just getting to sit and socialize with friends that I normally don't see outside of school. On the way up I sat next to my mom. First we went to the Holocaust museum. When we got there we took identification cards. Those cards each have a real person from the holocaust. It tells you their story. I had a girl named Elizabeth. Her parents were killed in the holocaust and she was supposed to be killed. Along with the other kids in a ghetto. The kids were driven into the woods to starve to death but a woman in a car going by heard crying and saved them. There was an entire room full of burned shoes from the holocaust. There were also thousands of last names of Jews killed. The museum was pretty depressing. We also got to light candles in a big room filled with them.

Then we walked to the National Museum. We were there mostly for lunch. I had chicken tenders, fries, and a cupcake. We talked during lunch for a while. Then we explored the gift shops there. We tried on a lot of funny hats. We had a great time. Then we looked at the aquarium inside the museum. We got to look through the nose of a whale skeleton. We also saw an extremely long giant squid. That was my favorite museum.

Next and last we went to the Indian museum. We looked around those gift shops for a while and also went to the very top of the building. We didn't have a lot of time in there though. The busses came pretty fast. It took again about two hours to get home. I slept for about a half an hour.

I had an amazing time on this trip and even though the holocaust museum was depressing I loved the people I was with.
