Christmas In Sheperdstown

Christmas In Sheperdstown

Hi guys! Today I am going to talk to you about The Christmas In Sheperdstown Tree Lighting Ceremony. It was on last Friday and we went with some family friends.

We got there around 5 and we looked around in some of the cute little shops for a while. We bought a few little things and then around 5:30 we went to the town center because they were going to read The Night Before Christmas and How The Grinch Stole Christmas. They actually started reading at almost 6:30.

We got some hot chocolates and we listened to the stories. At the end of the stories the mayor talked a little and then they lit the tree. Sheperdstown was pretty nicely decorated. After the tree lighting we went to a restaurant and we all had chili and corn bread.

Overall it was a really fun night and I enjoyed hearing the stories and seeing the tree be lit.

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

Hi guys. Today I'm going to write about a movie called plains, trains, and automobiles. This is a comedy although some parts are the exact opposite of funny.

So the movie starts out with Neal Page at work being held up late. He has a plane ticket for 6 o'clock and can't get out of work. Once he finally does get out of work the traffic is terrible. Someone ends up stealing the cab he paid 75 dollars for. When he finally gets to the airport it's about 7 o'clock but it's ok because the plane was delayed. While waiting for the plane Neal sees the guy who stole his cab. They argued about it for a little while until the plane boarded. He ended up having to sit next to the guy who stole his cab, Del.

That's how this movie got started. We find out they're going to Chicago for Thanks Giving. They end up fighting, traveling, sharing a room, and car riding together. Once or twice Neal got mad at Del because he was annoying. In a car accident they crashed and then their car light on fire.

They drive this car for a while until a police officer says it's unsafe. Then they get a ride in a freezing cold truck home. Neal is about to go home for Thanksgiving just when he realizes Del doesn't have a family to be with. So they go home together and Del spends Thanksgiving with Neal and his family. This movie was pretty good and has some funny parts but also some really sad ones.

Overall I do recommend it. I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5

Looking For Alaska

Looking For Alaska

Hi guys! Today I am writing a review and summary on Looking For Alaska. This blog won't be a complete spoiler but it you want the book to be a surprise for you then you probably shouldn't read it.

So the book starts out with a guy named Miles going to a new school for the first time. When he meets his roommate he kind of fits into his friend group. His roommate is Chip and his friends are Alaska, Lara, and Takumi. Miles is pranked again and again. Probably the worst one was him being duct taped and thrown into a lake. Miles has a crush on Alaska. She tutored him in pre-calculus.

They were all found smoking my the dean. They wanted to prank them back so they set up fireworks and pranked them. Miles and Alaska got drunk one night and fell asleep. Alaska got up in the night and started driving which resulted in a crash and her death.

This book is really good and fun to read. It does have a very sad ending though. Miles does eventually come to peace with her death. I think this book is very well written and it's by my favorite author, John Green. I'd give Looking For Alaska a 8.5 out of 10. Some other books I recommend from John Green are The Fault In Our Stars and Paper Towns.

I can't wait to read his holiday book. I hope you all enjoy or enjoyed reading Looking For Alaska.

My Week

My Week

Hi guys! Today I'm going to write about the past week. My grandmother came to visit us and she got here on Friday night.

On Saturday in the morning my parents took her to a BMW dealership in Sterling,VA. She bought a red BMW. That took a good while of the day. When they got back we hung out for a while and then they went out to dinner.

Sunday morning we went to the Apple Store in Maryland. My grandmother got a rose gold iPhone 6s Plus. After that we went to the world of beer for lunch. Then we went to the mall.

The rest of the week I was at school except for Tuesday. On Tuesday I got to stay home and we went to a different mall just my grandmother, mom, and I. We bought some fun things like clothes and bath and body works.

Then she left yesterday morning. It was really fun to see her again.

Halloween

Halloween

Hi guys! Today I am going to talk about my Halloween.

Around 3 we carved our pumpkins. My grandmother and I carved the regular triangle face, my little brother used a print, and my mom and older brother carved evil faces. After we carved our pumpkins we got into our costumes.

I dressed as spider woman. We bought my dress at Halloween City. Then I just wore tights and converse.

We went to a family friends house with my Grandmother around 5. When we got there we ordered and ate Kings Pizza. Then we talked for a while until 6. We all went out taking my little brother and their daughter trick or treating. Beth and I only walked for about ten minutes and then we went back home to hand out candy.

Their neighborhood gets a good amount of people coming around to the houses. We passed out candy and talked until 8. Then they all came back and we just hung out for a while. We snacked on leftover candy and apple cider. We went home at maybe 8:30.

My Halloween was pretty fun. I hope yours was too.
