Christmas Eve Eve

Hello! Today is Christmas Eve Eve! Are you excited?

L.O.P. (Lots of Presents.)

Let my start of with telling you about past Christmas Eve Eve's. First lets look at the 2010 Christmas Eve Eve.

The year before last year on Christmas Eve Eve my Dad's parents were here. It was a pretty normal day, but still everyone was excited and bouncy. I don't remember a lot but, I remember sitting on our couch and talking with my Grandmother.

She asked me what my favorite day of December was. I said the 25th. I asked her the same question and she said Christmas Eve Eve. I wonder why.

This Christmas Eve Eve doesn't feel right. It's probably because we don't have any guest's. Tomorrow Grammy and Gramps will be here.

Earlier today I baked three batches of Christmas cookie's. The first one was peanut butter cups. The second one was sugar cookies with prints on them. The third was sugar cookies with sprinkles. Yesterday night I was at Scott and Beth's house because mom and dad were at a party and Steve as here with the boys. So that was fun.

I have to say the Christmas spirit is in the air!!

Babysitting Madeline

Hi! Today I will tell you about babysitting Beth and Scott's kid Madeline. Beth, Scott, and Madeline are family friends.

Last night we went to Madeline's house at around 5:30. She is a valentine baby. She is not yet a year old. She is so adorable. She has cute little chubby cheeks and light blonde hair. When we got their Beth told us what to do and left. First we sat down for dinner. Mom, Alex, and I had McDonalds and Madeline had some yogis. They were just yogurt chips broken in half.

Then we played with her for a while. Then it was time for her bath time. I soaped her down and got her into her PJ's. Then I heated her bottle and fed it to her. Then I gave her her teeth pills and she almost bit my finger off. Then I put her in bed and went down stairs. I watched the baby monitor until she fell asleep. Then Beth and Scott came back and we left.

Ashton and Daddy were having a guys night. They went to Larry's house. Steve and Heath were their too. First they had buffalo wings from Ledos. After they ate they watched Die Hard. Then I guess the just hung out for a while and came home.

I miss Madeline so much. She is so adorable! I can't wait to see her again.

The Ritchey Family Reunion

Hi! Today I will tell you about the Ritchey family reunion party that my moms half of the family celebrates.

Yesterday in Saxton, Pennsylvania my moms half of the family has a huge reunion in a giant lodge. When we first got there we went down stairs to the game and basketball room. I played basketball while Ashton and Alex played the games. I love playing basketball. After most of the relatives arrived Gramps and I played pictionary. When everyone arrived Aunt Jessica, Uncle Jonathan, Ashton, Alex, and I played CAT.

CAT is when you shoot the basketball and if you make it in the hoop you get the first letter and once you have spelled CAT you win. After that we had dinner. There was mashed-potato's, turkey, stuffing, mac and cheese, and a lot of other good foods. There was also dessert. We had fudge, cookies, cupcakes, and a lot of other things too.

After dinner and dessert we had present time. Alex got 2 ornaments, a Spider-Man, and a plane. Ashton and I each got a plane and the family present was more pieces to our Christmas village. After that we threw our planes and played basketball until it was time to go home.

I had a great time it was super fun.

Malfunction.

Christmas Decorating

Hi. Today I will tell you about decorating for Christmas. Christmas is in just 23 days and I can't wait!!

When I was at Sarah's house my Dad, Ashton, Alex, and Uncle Mario put up the outdoor lights and the Santa train. Later that day mom and I went to a tree farm and cut down a REAL Christmas tree. That evening we all decorated the real tree with all the silly, pop culture, comic book, and kids ornaments. We have set up other things too like the advent calendar house and the days till Christmas Santa.

Today we decorated the artificial tree with old fashioned glass ornaments and ribbon. Friday when Alex got home from the Christmas bizarre he put the presents he got for us under the tree. He got a present for each of us and a family present. Tuesday, Steppenwolf knocked the tree over. Nothing was broken beyond repair, but a couple things broke.

Yesterday we put the skirt on the tree and set up the train. On the empty part of the train there are two presents. One is mom's and one is Ashton's. Alex says his favorite part of Christmas is putting up the ornaments. Mom's favorite is the excitement. Ashton's is the excitement on Christmas Eve when he is trying to sleep and Christmas Eve dinner. He says it always seems more special than Christmas Day dinner. Ashton also says that Dad's favorite part is going in a dark corner of the house and reading comics while we are having fun on Christmas Day. My favorite part is also the excitement on Christmas Eve night when I'm trying to sleep and watching other people's faces light up when they open a present.

I love Christmas. It is my favorite holiday. I love the music, smiles, and warmth of Christmas.
