A Week at Grammy's House

Hi! Today I will tell you about the week I spent at Grammy's house!



On May 22 I got out of school. When we got home we went for a bike ride. My Grandfather was at my house when I got home from the ride. While we were on the way to his house we stopped at McDonalds for a bathroom break. We got ice cream there and then we went to a pizza place called Joe's Pizza. There pizza was extremely good and cheesy. When we got home I watched Dancing With the Stars with Grammy. Then I went to bed.



The next day Grammy and I went shopping for my birthday. We went to Aeropostal, Sears, and Claire's. We went back to the house and hung out until my grandfather got home, then we went to Outback and had dinner. The next day we gardened while the plumber fixed the sink. Then, when he was gone we all went out to Red Robin.



The next day we saw a movie. The movie that we saw was called Dark Shadows. Then we went to a restaurant in some store. That day we went to Toys'R'Us and I got a Monster High doll and wallet. The next day mom and dad were coming to take me home but before they came,while I was still in my PJ's, we drove over a bridge and saw Rolling Thunder. Rolling Thunder is a lot of motorcycles in a group. They make a sound that is similar to Rolling Thunder.



It was a great week! I can't wait until next summer. Hope to see you again soon.

A Weekend With The Adractas Family

Hi! Today I will tell you about our weekend with the Adractas family.



Last weekend we went to their house. First we hung out for a little while when Rebecca was cooking. Then we had dinner out on the deck. We had turkey burgers, chips, and soda. After that Rebecca sent Sophia to bed then went downstairs to play 7 Wonders with us. Daddy won the game. After that we went to bed.



The next day Mom, Rebecca, Sophia, and I woke up early to go to a strawberry farm. Dad, Uncle Mario, Ashton, and Alex went on a bike ride. When we got there we rode the tractor to the strawberry field and picked a lot of big, juicy, beautiful strawberries. After that we walked a little and then went home.



Dad, Uncle Mario, Ashton, and Alex had biked to the comic book store by then and they picked out a couple comics. Then they got to Subway and had lunch. They brought us home a sandwich and then Rebecca gave me a huge bucket of scrapbooking supplies.

My Birthday

Hi! Today I will tell you about my birthday.




My birthday was May 9th. For dinner we had awesome sushi. Then we had lemon cake with vanilla frosting and in pink sparkly letters was written Happy Birthday Katie. That night mom and dad gave me a hanging scrapbook that holds 6 pictures. I am going to hang it on the wall above my bed.




That weekend we took Beth to the Outlet Mall with me and my mom. First we went to the Sunglasses Hut and got Beth a pair of sunglasses. After that we ate out in the food court. Mom and I had Chinese and Beth had pizza. Then we went to The Children's Place. I got a striped shirt, a white shirt with matching leggings, a pale pink top, short khaki's, a hot pink dress with ruffles, a purple, blue, and black long dress, a two piece striped swimsuit, a hot pink cover-up, and pair of cherry flip-flops.




Then we drove to Vally Mall and went to Justice. There I got a tank-top with a small sweater and a peace shirt. After Justice was Claire's. There I got a hat and 5 lip glosses. Later I got home and opened a gift from Aunt Robin. It was AWESOME monster high flip-flops. I also opened a card from Grandmama that had 75$ in it. Of course all that money went into the bank savings.




It was an awesome birthday.

Brittany's Wedding

Hi! I am going to tell you about my cousin that just got married.



It was last Saturday at Culpepper Baptist Church. She was getting married to a boy named Jason. I can still remember when the brides maids came down the aisle and the ring boy with the flower girl. Last, Brittany came down the aisle. They read notes to each other too. After that we went to the reception. We had table 15. We sat with Grammy, Gramps, Uncle Chris, Uncle Jonathan, and Aunt Jessica.



After we got settled we had some fruit, cheese, crackers, and stuffed peppers. Then we sat down for a little while and put 50 piece puzzles together. Then we got some bread. After we ate that the bride and groom came with family and friends. Them we got served chicken tenders, fruit, and french fries for the kids.



After that there was crazy dancing. They played songs like YMCA. It was really fun. I danced with mom, dad, and gramps. Gramps was really partying. Everyone was watching him and clapping to the music. Mom and I did the twist together. After that they cut the cake. Only they had the cake though we had cupcakes.



This was an awesome wedding.

The Omen

Hi! Today I will tell you about a movie called The Omen.



The Omen is a very scary movie. It is about a kid named Damien. He is the devil's son. His family had just moved to a new house and it was Damien's birthday. Their nanny hung herself for Damien. That is why they moved. A couple of days later they got a new nanny. They did not send for her to come because they never hired her. They decided it was all right for for her to stay.



The next day, the priest tried to warn the father about his son but he did not believe it. Later, that day, the priest got killed by a metal rod going through his torso. When he got home from work he found out that his wife was pregnant. The next day while he was at work Damien killed the baby by knocking his mother of the banister.



The father went with the camera man to find out if the boy really was the devil's son. They found out he was the devils son and the dad would not kill him. So the camera man said he would but while he was picking up the knives a truck ran over his head. He called his wife to tell her and when she put down the phone the nanny threw her out the window and she died. The father was at the house and about to kill the boy when the nanny attacked him. He survived but the nanny did not. He took his son and went to the church to kill him but the police came and shot the father. At the funeral the president adopted Damien.



It was a very scary movie but I did like it. Ashton liked it to. I think that the scariest part was when the son knocked his mom of the banister. Ashton says the scariest part was when the guy got his head cut off. Daddy thought the scariest part was when the dad had to kill his little boy to save the human race. It was all pretty scary though.



It was a scary movie and what will happen to the president? I don't know.

Grandmama and Grandaddy's Trip

Hi! Today I will tell you about Grandmama and Grandaddy's trip.



Thursday night they came over a little bit before mom got home. When mom got home we went out to a place called Fat Tuesday's. Alex and I shared cheese fries and chicken fingers. The next day, Friday, I got to stay home and they got here at 8:20. Then we went out to garden. We pulled out the weeds at first then we turned the dirt. After that we added the peat moss. After that we went in and daddy came home. We had lunch and Grandmama started cooking dinner.



She was cooking Mac 'n' cheese with 2 and a half pounds of cheese. She also cooked pork, beans, and bread. After dinner we watched Sherlock Homes and ate cheese cake. The next day, today, we went biking on the C&O canal. We saw some beautiful sites and we ate Pirate Booty half way through our trip. Then we came back and we stopped at a grocery store.



It was an old store and it was pretty cute. Then we went to a pizzeria. It was really good. I had crab covered cheese fries, cheese ravioli, and crab covered pizza. It was really good. Then we came home and relaxed a little bit. Then mom went to cook and get drinks while we played Seven Wonders. Grandmama won at a total of 68 points. Then we had dinner. We had steak, vegetable's, and rice. After that we watched cartoons and ate more cheese cake. Sadly it was time for them to go. I miss them already and it is only 10 seconds after they left.



I had a really fun time and I can't wait to see them in Ocean City!

Glasses

Hi! Today I am going to tell you about me getting glasses. Boo.



When the eye doctor told me that I needed glasses I freaked out. I did not want glasses. Dad cheered me up a little by naming some people that look good in glasses. The next day mom took me to look at the glasses and I chose some that are brown with blue bubbles on it. A week and a half later dad took me to pick them up.



When I first put them on I felt like I was going to barf. I felt like that all day. Everything seemed sharper. The next day I went to school. Everything on the board seamed a lot less fuzzy. Mom saved me and said I did not have to wear them during specials, at recess, at lunch, and when I ride the bus.



Ms. Reed calls me cousin It from the Adams family. I pull my hair over my face and put my glasses on. Nobody really asked me about my glasses they just say stuff like wow you wear glasses. I guess glasses are all right because there not glued to your face or anything like that.



So they aren't to bad but don't get me wrong I still don't like glasses.
