My High School Orientation

My High School Orientation

Hi guys! Today I am going to talk about things that happened during my high school orientation. Tomorrow (Monday) will be my first day of my freshman year.

So the first thing that happened when we got there was them giving us a new schedule. Next we just went to the gym and waited until a good amount of people showed up.then the principal and a few other staff members talked for a while about what they wanted from us, how to behave, and the school rules/dress code. When that was over the more interesting part of the orientation started.

We were given a map of the school and we all went to our first class. Mine was computer programming. The teacher introduces themselves and then tells you the supplies you need and what you will be doing in the class. My second class is health. The nest class I have is physical science honors. For fourth period I have work history. Next I have have english honors. My sixth period is math honors. Lastly I have french two.

I'm not that nervous for my fist day of high school, I'm actually more excited. Everyone plays it up that if you're a freshman you're going to be picked on by upper class-men. The truth is a few of them might do that but most of them are really nice. The thing that I'm most nervous about is my volleyball tryouts. I'm trying out right after school. My friend Shelby and I have been on the recreation center team for the past few years so now we're going to tryout together.

So that was my high school orientation and a little bit about how I think my first day will go.

Here I Go Again Book Review

Here I Go Again Book Review

Hi guys! Today I'm writing about one of the books I just finished. The book is called Here I Go Again by Jen Lancaster.

So this starts out with a very spoiled girl having the perfect life. She married her high school sweetheart who's rich. Ten years later he divorces her because she's mean and doesn't have a job. So she gets a potion and time travels to when she was in high school and gets nicer. In the future she is pretty nice and this time she is the one that is rich.

Her husband still divorces her because he's bored and wants a job and her father dies in a car accident because he was fighting with her mother. So again she time travels but this time she finds her true love and when she goes back to the future she is married to him with three kids and she makes her parents be nicer to each other.

I think that this is a really good book. I finished it really fast because I was so into reading it. It's a really good book in my opinion and I wish I could keep it but it's a library book. I will definitely look into more books by Jen Lancaster. I would give this book an eight out of ten.

So that is my book review on Here I Go Again by Jen Lancaster.

Books 2015

Books 2015

Hi guys! Today I am going to talk about some of my favorite books for 2015 and also some books that I want to read. (No spoilers, just brief summaries.)

So by far my favorite author is John Green. I have five of his books. One of them I have digitally on my iPad and it's called Paper Towns. The other four I have in paperback form, they are called Looking for Alaska, An Abundance of Katherine's, The Fault in Our Stars, and Let It Snow. The first one that I read was The Fault in Our Stars. This book is what got me hooked on books by John Green. This book is about two teenagers with cancer that fall in love.

The next one is called Paper Towns its a really good book about a girl and a boy that grew up as neighbors and he has always liked her, but one day she runs away and he starts looking for her.
The other three books I have by him I haven't read yet because I'm in the middle of a really good book that I'm really close to finishing. It's called Here I Go Again by Jen Lancaster. It's a really good book about a girl who makes a lot of mistakes so she time travels to try and fix them but causes time ripples.

I also have another book to read called Stirring The Pot by Jenny McCarthy. Two of my favorite books to read are Love? Maybe. by Heather Helper and Bliss by Kathryn Littlewood. I have re-read Love? Maybe. at least five times. Now I want to talk about Let It Snow by John Green. I haven't read it yet but it has three different stories in it and only one of them is by John Green. The other authors are Maureen Johnson and Lauren Muracle. This is a holiday book that I look forward to reading in December.

That was my Books 2015 blog! I hope you liked it and I hope you read something from it!

Kids Expectations vs Reality: Being a Teenager (Girls)

Kids Expectations vs Reality: Being a Teenager (Girls)

Hi guys! Today's blog is another expectations vs reality. This one is a little different because this is a kids expectations vs reality of being a teenager (girls).

So the first topic is High School Musical. The expectations were that we would always be breaking out into a song for no real reason. The reality is pretty much that that only happens in movies. The next topic is dances. The expectation for going to a dance was that it would be a huge castle with ballroom dresses like in princess movies. The reality is the closest thing most girls get to that is their prom.

The next topic is prom queen. The expectation is that you will win prom queen. The reality is that for some girls you do win but for most you don't.The next expectation is your prom date who you expect to win prom king so you dance together. The reality again is that only happens for one guy in every school. Next is Hannah Montana. As a little girl your expectation is to be just like Hannah Montana were you're an amazing singer who wears a wig and nobody knows who you really are.

The next topic is Hannah Montana's closet.Your expectation is to have a closet just like her where you have a tiny little closet and when you push the closet aside there is a huge door leading to a huge room filled with clothes and shoes. The reality is you will probably just have a tiny closet with no hidden doors. The last expectation is to have a huge princess bedroom with pink everywhere, tons of clothes, and things like that. The reality is you will probably have a normal size room with a normal amount of clothes.

I hope you enjoyed this blog!

Expectaions vs Reality: High School

Expectations vs Reality: High School

Hi guys today I'm going to talk about my school expectations vs reality. In August I'm starting my first year of high school. I have many expectations for high school, some are bad and some are good.

So my first expectation is that I would dress nice the entire year. The reality is that after about two weeks I give up and I'm back to sweats and t-shirts. My next expectation is that my first school lunch in high school will be terrible. In my mind I won't have anyone to sit with and I'll be alone. The reality is I'll probably have lunch with at least some of my friends.

The next topic I have is my teachers. My expectation for the teachers is that they will all be either really nice or just okay. The reality is I'll probably have one mean teacher, one nice teacher, and the rest will probably just be okay. Next my topic is the people. My expectation is that they will all just be a little mean and not really talk to me because I didn't go to the same middle school as them. The reality is that it probably won't be that bad and it might be a little harder to make friends at first but I'll probably find people.

This next expectation is since I'll be a freshman the seniors, juniors, and sophomores, won't be very nice. The reality is that some of them probably will be rude but I also know some really nice juniors and sophomores. My last expectation is that I will be lost because the school is so huge and I won't be able to find my classes. The reality is I probably will have some trouble with that but it's the first day and a lot of kids probably will and it probably won't be as bad as I'm thinking.

So those are my high school expectations vs reality. I hope you enjoyed!

Music

Music

Hi guys! Today I am going to write about my music. I will talk about the music I have purchased recently and what I've been more in to.

Okay so my three favorite songs that I have purchased recently are Fight Song by Rachel Platten, Bright by Echosmith, and Worth It by Fifth Harmony. Other songs I have recently purchased that I really like are Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran, A Sky Full of Stars by Coldplay, Want To Want Me by Jason Derulo, All I Want by Kodaline, Dear Future Husband by Meghan Trainor, Riptide by Vance Joy, and Shut Up And Dance by Walk the Moon.

Some of the older songs that I've been listening to more are Wake Me Up by Avicii, Shower by Becky G, Jar of Hearts by Christina Perri, Burn by Ellie Goulding, Not Over You by Gavin DeGraw, Stereo Hearts by Gym Class Heros, The Reason by Hoobastank, Tonight Tonight by Hot Chelle Rae, Domino by Jessie J, Heartbeat Song, by Kelly Clarkson, Need You Now by Lady Antebellum, Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis, Wings by Little Mix, Maps by Maroon 5, Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield, Am I Wrong by Nico & Vinz, Story Of My Life by One Direction, I Lived by One Republic, Fireflies by Owl City, Try by P!nk, Let Her Go by Passenger, Hey, Soul Sister by Train, We Are Young by Fun, Clarity by Zedd, and She Looks So Perfect by 5 Seconds Of Summer.

I like these songs because most of them are inspiring. Most of them give me energy when I run or work out. Also, if I relate to what they're singing about its nice to know that people think or go through some of the things that I do. My last reason that I love these songs is simply because I love music.

Most of the songs I've talked about today are pop music songs. I listen to these songs mostly just at the gym. The rest of the time when I'm listening to music, oddly enough, it's probably Glee a Christmas Music. I've always loved Christmas music especially around Christmas but also year around. I listen to it when I run, do dished, laundry, when I'm bored, etc.

So that is my music blog! If you have music suggestions I would love to hear them!

My 4th Of July

My 4th Of July

Hi guys! Today I am going to talk about what I did on 4th of July.

I started the day of by waking up at 6:05 to go to the gym. That tired me out a lot. When we got back I showered and had lunch. Then I took my little brother on a walk around our neighborhood. We just hung out for a while until about 4:30.

At 4:30 we went to go to one of our family friend's, Josh and Amanda's, house. We got there around five with our friends Scott, Beth, and Madeline. We went to the back yard and set up our chairs. We sat in the circle in talked for a little while. Alex went down stairs to play x-box and Maddie played in some of the inflatable water slides they had set up in their back yard.

Then we ate dinner and hung out outside for a while until it started to get dark. Then we went out front and we could see the fireworks from the park. So we watched those and then went home.

I had a great 4th of July and I hope you did too!!!!
